Brianna Tam began her undergraduate studies at Oberlin Conservatory, but transferred to the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2017. She is now a student of Dr. Alexander Ezerman pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. Since starting her education at UNCG, Brianna has been selected to perform in masterclasses for Zuill Bailey and the Juilliard Quartet, and will be playing in a masterclass for Lynn Harrell in Spring 2018. She is currently a member of the school’s Gate City Camerata and is one of the rotating principals of the University Symphony Orchestra. While at Oberlin, Brianna was a member of the school’s Contemporary Music Ensemble under the direction of Timothy Weiss, as well as the school’s Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Raphael Jiménez.
Brianna has performed as a soloist with the American Chamber Orchestra as a winner of their concerto competition, and has also won several other local competitions. In 2016, she attended Brevard Music Center Summer Festival, during which she was one of the rotating principals for that season.
Brianna lives in Greensboro with her fiancé, her cat, and her four chickens.
