Running marathons, hiking, mountain biking, gardening.

There are lots of restaurants to choose from!
What is something about yourself that
most people don't know?
Musical Questions
When did you join the FSO? I joined two
years ago, but played one season with the orchestra in early 2000.
Why do you enjoy playing with the FSO?
It’s great to play orchestral rep with other musicians.
When did you start playing? I started
playing the violin when I was eight.
Do you play any other instruments? I
play a little viola and can play a C and a G chord on a guitar.
Where else have you performed outside
of the FSO? UNC-Greensboro Orchestra, Raleigh Civic Symphony and the
1998 Classical Music Festival Orchestra.
What is your most memorable moment on
stage (good or bad)?
Who has been the biggest influence on
your musical career? My parents.
What sort of music do you enjoy playing
or listening to? Besides FSO, I play in a band called the Cowboys
that performs southern rock, bluegrass, southwestern swing, and a
little Motown.
How do you deal with pre-concert
nerves? I eat a banana.
Who are your favorite composers? I have
so many favorites that I don’t think I could narrow it to a few.
What is/are your favorite piece(s) of
music? Shostakovich 5th Symphony, Brahms Requiem, Bloch Concerto
Grosso with piano obbligato
What sort of music do you listen to in
your car or when unwinding after a long day at work? I listen to
public radio on weekends and any of a myriad of stations on satellite
radio during the week.
