Arta Prekadini Hardin – Violin

IMG_2434Arta Prekadini Hardin started her violin studies at the age of 9 in her hometown of Ferizaj, Kosovo. She continued her studies with Sihana Badivuku in Pristina, Kosovo. In 2003, she won second place in the ARSKOSOVA Violin Competition, and in 2004 she won third place.

Arta has participated in masterclasses  with Eugenia Tchougayeva, Mirijam Contzen, Johannes  Watzel ,Francis Duroy, Pierre Homage, Ruth Waterman ,Ervis Gega, and many others. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the “University of Music” in Violin Performance as a student of Sihana Badivuku . She was a member of the youth Orchestra at Bern Academy touring around Europe and Balkan in 2005 (Germany, Croatia,Bosnia Herzegovina , Montenegro ,Kosovo).
 
Between 2008-2014 Arta was a member of Kosovo Philharmonic. During this time she won second violin in the Kosovo Philharmonic Soloist Ensemble and also became a member of the Balkan Chamber Orchestra Concert tour in Japan ( Tokyo,Kanazawa,NHK TV). From 2011-2013, Arta participated with the NBO Orchestra Concerts tour in Germany,Pristina ,Macedonia, as well as the Albanian Philharmonic Orchestra concert tour in Germany, Albania, and Kosovo. In 2013, Arta performed a solo with the Kosovo Philharmonic.
 
Currently Arta is a member of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and Carolina Philharmonic here in North Carolina.

The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1956 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and is a professional, regional orchestra whose mission is to educate, entertain, and inspire the citizens of the Fayetteville, North Carolina region as the leading musical resource.  Praised for its artistic excellence, the Symphony leads in the cultural and educational landscape for Fayetteville and the southeastern North Carolina region.

The Fayetteville Symphony performs 6-8 concerts during any given season performing both at Methodist University and Fayetteville State University. Partnerships with other arts agencies include collaborative performances with Cape Fear Regional Theatre, chamber concerts at St. John’s Episcopal Church, as well as a military appreciation concert held over Memorial Day Weekend in collaboration with The Army Ground Forces Band of Ft. Bragg. The Symphony brings music to the schools and the community by performing educational concerts, as well as having its own Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra and Summer Music Camps.
