Deanne Renshaw (BM, MM - Northwestern University) A former student of oboe legend Ray Still, Deanne currently holds the endowed principal oboe chair in the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra (FSO) where she was featured as a soloist in 2007. Having gained additional influence from oboists Alex Klein, Carl Sonik, Richard Killmer and Bernard Shapiro, Deanne has performed with the Amman Symphony Orchestra in Jordan, the International Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, both in Israel; the Long Bay Symphony, the Carolina Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, the North Carolina Master Chorale, Opera Carolina, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, the Tar River Philharmonic Orchestra, the Raleigh Civic Symphony and the Wilson-Barton Symphony Orchestra, among others. Having performed with the FSO since 2000, Deanne has been the FSO Orchestra Manager since 2007. Outside of the FSO, Deanne teaches oboe at Methodist University and at UNC-Pembroke after having been on the music faculty at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. An active recitalist, she was chosen to perform on the “Ray Still and Friends” Chamber Music recital following Mr. Still’s International Oboe Masterclass in Maryland. She can be heard on two of Danny and June Infantino’s guitar/flute instrumental albums, "Of Blessed Beasts and Children" and most recently, “Table for Two”.
