Total Eclipse of the Chart

Saturday, September 20, 2025 | 7:30pm | Seabrook Auditorium

Our season begins with a blast from the past in collaboration with the world-class vocalists who brought you “Music of the Knights!” There’s something for everyone in this musical tour of the 80s, including Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Eurythmics, and more. Fans of entertaining presenters and popular tunes will love this rockin’ concert.

Jubilate Deo

Saturday, October 11, 2025 | 7:30pm | First Presbyterian Church

Join us on a journey around the world in Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo! Your Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra will partner with the First Presbyterian Church Choir and Cumberland Choral Arts to reprise this fan favorite performance. Each movement of Forrest’s beloved work explores joy and praise in a unique musical style, influenced by multicultural music practices. Fans of powerful voices and energetic orchestras will especially love this program.

Coffee Cantata

Saturday, November 22, 2025 | 2:00pm and 7:30pm | Arts XL (214 Burgess St, Fayetteville NC 28301)

Sip in style at this chamber concert featuring a titan of classical music! This chamber concert features Bach’s Coffee Cantata, a comedic piece for voice and strings that tells the story of a girl and her father arguing over love, life, and caffeine. Enjoy the humorous tale in an immersive environment, with coffee and pastries available. Fans of small ensembles and musical storytelling will especially love this program.

The Road to America 250

Saturday, January 17, 2026 | 7:30pm | St. John’s Episcopal Church

Celebrate the rich musical history of the U.S. on The Road to America 250! In anticipation of the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding, we will present a chamber concert featuring music by American composers in the beautiful St. John’s Episcopal Church. This concert is a great fit for those who like small ensembles, intimate venues, and music history.

A Night on the Town

Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 7:30pm | Seabrook Auditorium

Set out for A Night on the Town with your Fayetteville Symphony! Dress up and experience the rush of city life as award-winning bassist Kebra-Seyoun Charles performs their original bass concerto, Night Life. We will also be joined by a gospel choir to bring you beautiful settings of gospel songs. Fans of music that blends genres will love the way Night Life paints a musical picture.

John Williams and His Influences

Saturday, April 18, 2026 | 7:30pm | Huff Concert Hall

Blast off on an out-of-this-world adventure with your Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra! Experience the music from two of John Williams’s most iconic film scores, paired with some of the classical greats that inspired them. This concert is a great fit for lovers of music that evokes character and tells a story.

Featured Musician

Tetsuya Endo, Bass Trombone

Tetsuya Endo joined as the bass trombonist of the Fayetteville Symphony in 2024. Born in San Francisco, CA, he received his Bachelor of Music Performance degree in trombone from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His primary teachers include David Stetson of the Pacific Symphony, Paul Welcomer of the San Francisco Symphony, and Tony Collins. 

Before joining the Fayetteville Symphony, he freelanced and taught music privately in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has performed extensively in a wide and eclectic range of community and professional groups, including the San Francisco Wind Symphony, Echo Chamber Orchestra, Starduster Jazz Orchestra, the Brass Animals, Marin Symphony, and the Green Street Mortuary Band in San Francisco. 

Outside of his musical activities, he is a devoted educator in multiple subjects having taught in public elementary schools in California and North Carolina, and is a literacy advocate. He currently resides in Raleigh, NC, where he loves to cook, eat, and explore the outdoors with his partner.

The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1956 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and is a professional, regional orchestra whose mission is to educate, entertain, and inspire the citizens of the Fayetteville, North Carolina region as the leading musical resource.  Praised for its artistic excellence, the Symphony leads in the cultural and educational landscape for Fayetteville and the southeastern North Carolina region.

The Fayetteville Symphony typically performs 8 concerts during any given season performing both at Methodist University and Fayetteville State University. Partnerships with other agencies include collaborative performances with Cape Fear Regional Theatre, chamber concerts at St. John’s Episcopal Church, as well as the city’s annual Independence concert with fireworks. The Symphony brings music to the schools and the community by performing educational concerts, as well as having its own Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra, after school strings and summer music camps.
